General Information
Sylva Native Nursery & Seed Company is a wholesale nursery
specializing in native plants, in the Mid-Atlantic region, for landscape designers, restorationists, contractors,
nurseries and other businesses that require large quantities of material.
Terms
In order to reserve material, a 50% deposit is necessary at time
of order, with balance due at delivery. Government clients can use
purchase orders as their deposit. To those with an established
record for prompt payment, we are glad to extend credit terms. Deposits at time of order will secure material for 60 days only.
Credit applications are available by mail or fax.
We also accept Visa and MasterCard as payment options.
Plant Availability
We operate on a first-come first-serve basis. To guarantee
plant availability or for special pricing on large quantities, please pre-order. Please place orders as early as
possible to assure availability. Species listed are available in the sizes
indicated. Prices are subject to change based on market conditions.
Custom Orders
We continually grow new species, but in quantities
insufficient to list for regional sales. Inquire about any native plants
not listed. Orders are priced individually.
Grades
All plants listed are container grown. B & B plants
are also available upon request. Bare root stock is available in limited
selection from March 1 to May 1 annually.
Sales Tax
Under the State Sales and Use Tax Act, we are required to collect
tax on gross sales made in each state, Maryland and Pennsylvania, unless the
buyer files an Exemption Certificate with us.
Claims
Orders are accepted subject to receipt of deposit, and with the
understanding that they should be void should injury befall the stock from
drought, frost, fire, error in count or other causes beyond our control.
While we strive to produce quality plants in native soil mixes to assure site
adaptability, tolerance to stress, and survivability, we have no control over
site conditions, contractor experience and design credibility. Therefore,
we give no guarantee (express or implied) as to the survivability and
productiveness of any nursery stock after it leaves our nursery. Claims
for any cause should be made in writing within three (3) days after receipt of
stock, otherwise it is considered satisfactory. We are, however, very
dedicated to satisfying customers if there is any problem we feel is attributed
to Sylva.
